On August 25, 2020, at approximately 6:02 p.m., an injury crash occurred on State Highway 200 at milepost 62, just west of the Montana state line in Bonner County. A brown 1990 Honda Accord, driven by Rachel A. Dunn, 18, of Sandpoint, Idaho, was traveling westbound attempting to negotiate a right curve when she lost control, over-corrected and crossed the center line striking a blue 2014 Toyota Prius driven by Lori S. Adams, 69, of Heron, MT. Dunn was transported by air-ambulance to Kootenai Health. Adams and her passenger, Edward L. Bernier, 83, of Heron, MT were transported by ground ambulance to Bonner General Hospital. Dunn and Bernier were not wearing seatbelts. Adams was wearing a seatbelt. State Highway 200 was blocked approximately three hours.
