Injury Crash SH55 South of Banks
Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle injury crash that occurred on June 15th,2025 at 8:13pm, on northbound State Highway 55 at milepost 76.7, in Boise County.
A 32-year-old male, of Hamilton, Montana, was driving southbound in a 2012 Chevy Silverado.
A 46-year-old male of Troy, Montana, with a 38-year-old female passenger of Elko, Nevada, were riding northbound on a 2023 Harley Davidson FLH Series.
The Chevy Silverado crossed the center line and impacted the motorcycle head-on. The occupants of the Harley Davidson became separated from the motorcycle and came to rest in the middle of the road. The Chevy Silverado stopped on the right side of the roadway.
The female passenger was taken by air ambulance to a nearby hospital, and the driver of the motorcycle was transported by ground ambulance. They were both wearing helmets.
The driver of the Chevy was not transported and was wearing a seatbelt.
All lanes of travel were closed for approximately four hours to allow emergency responders to assist those involved.
This remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
