On December 27th 2018 at 12:26 pm the Idaho State Police responded to a one vehicle injury crash southbound US95 at milepost 306, near Lewiston. Sandra Allenswood, 20, of Culdesac, was travelling northbound on US95, in the right hand lane, when rocks came off the hillside striking her vehicle. A basketball size rock went through the front grill of her Red 2005 Hyundai Accent, and a softball size rock came through the front windshield. Ellenwood was transported by family to St. Josephs Regional Medical Center.
