On Saturday, July 7, 2018, at approximately 1:30 P.M., Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury crash on westbound Interstate 84 at milepost 201, near the Kasota Road exit in Minidoka County.

Elizabeth Brackensick, 59, of Visalia, CA, was driving westbound in a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Brackensick drove off the right side of the road, overcorrected, drove across both lanes of travel, and collided with the guardrail. The Chevrolet Silverado overturned and came to rest in the median. Brakensick and her passenger Beverly McRhoads, 59, of San Jose, CA, were both wearing a seatbelt.

Brackensick and McRhoads were both transported by ground ambulance to the Minidoka Memorial Hospital in Rupert, ID.

The left lane of both eastbound and westbound traffic were blocked for approximately one hour.
