On December 20, 2019 at approximately 4:07 p.m. an injury crash occurred on State Highway 8 at milepost 16, one mile east of Troy, Idaho. A white 2019 Jeep Renegade driven by Wendy J. Smiley-Johnson, 52, of Troy, Idaho was traveling westbound when she left the roadway on the north shoulder and became airborne. The Jeep rolled several times and Smiley-Johnson was ejected from the vehicle. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Smiley-Johnson was transported to Gritman Hospital by ambulance. Road conditions were not a factor in the crash. The crash is still under investigation.
