On Monday, January 16, 2017, at approximately 7:29 pm, Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash eastbound on I84 at mile marker 23, west of Caldwell.

Michael A. Andrews, 22, of Marsing, was driving eastbound in a 2000 Volkswagen Passat. Andrews lost control of his vehicle and drove off the right shoulder where the vehicle overturned. Andrews was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Andrews was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
