On July 10, 2014 at 4:30pm Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle injury crash westbound on I84 at mile marker 16, west of the Sand Hallow exit.

Geoffrey Harvey, 65 of Hayden, ID, was traveling westbound on I84 in a 1998 Mazda pickup. Harvey fell asleep and drove into the median. The pickup went off the embankment and came to rest below the interstate on a county road.

Harvey was wearing his seatbelt. He was transported by ground ambulance to West Valley Medical Center.

This crash is still under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
