On Monday, December 7, 2015 at approximately 11:37 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash westbound I-84 at milepost 194, near Hazelton.
Crystal Ramirez, 22, of Rupert, was westbound on I-84 in a 2015 Dodge Charger when she struck the back of a commercial vehicle that was also traveling westbound. Ramirez lost control of the Dodge, and it went through the gore at the 194 exit, across the exit ramp, and off the north shoulder of the road.
Ramirez was not wearing her seatbelt. She was taken by air ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley. There was no lane blockage.
The commercial vehicle involved in the crash has not been identified. Anyone with any information regarding this crash is asked to call the Idaho State Police District Office in Jerome at (208) 324-6000.
The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
