On June 30th, at approximately 7:03 pm, Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash on Williams Lane off of US95, just north of Athol in Bonner County.

Ryan Johnson, 42, of Athol, ID, was driving on Williams Lane from southbound US95 in a black Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was driving alongside a gray Mini Cooper. Both were traveling at a high rate of speed. Johnson failed to negotiate a curve and was thrown into a tree line off of the roadway.

Johnson was transported to Kootenai Health and was later relayed to Sacred Heart. Alcohol is believed to be a factor. This investigation is currently ongoing.
