At this time, the Idaho State Police is responding to a large number of crashes and disabled vehicles in snowy and icy conditions. High speed north/south winds are creating drifting snow and visibility issues, particularly for east/west roads, and particularly for US Highway 26, part of which has been closed by the Idaho Transportation Department. Motorists are encouraged to use caution if they must travel.
