On Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at approximately 9:05 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash on Interstate 15 at milepost 64.7, near Century High School in Pocatello. Dakota Mason, 18, of Pocatello, was driving south on Interstate 15 in a 2003 Dodge Neon, when he fell asleep and his vehicle drifted into the right lane. Mason's vehicle drifted underneath a semi trailer and became stuck. The semi truck and traier were being driven by Jacob Neustaeter, 36, of Alberta, Canada.
The right lane of southbound travel was blocked for approximately one hour while the crash was investigated and cleared.
Mason was cited for inattentive driving.
Seatbelts were worn by both parties.
This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
