On November 4, 2012 at 4:30pm, Idaho State Police investigated a rollover crash in the median of I84 at mile marker 161, west of Jerome.

Marcette M. Makay, 35 of Kimberly, was traveling eastbound on I84 in a 1998 Ford Explorer. A small light colored passenger car that had been traveling westbound used the emergency crossover and drove into the eastbound lanes of travel. Makay tried to avoid a collision and lost control of her vehicle rolling into the median.

Makay and her passenger, Patricia A. Makay, 60 of Twin Falls, were both transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center. Both occupants were wearing their seatbelts.
