On October 5, 2013, at approximately 6:44 p.m., Corporal Horacio Caldera responded to an unknown injury crash located south on I-15 near milepost 68 located in Bannock County, Idaho. Upon arrival Corporal Caldera discovered that the person involved in the crash was also suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
