On Wednesday November 14, 2012, at approximately 1:00 p.m., the Idaho State Police stopped a white Chevrolet van for a routine traffic violation on Interstate 86 at milepost 29, near American Falls. During the investigation, approximately a half-pound of marijuana was discovered in the vehicle. The driver Kenneth Ibsen, 49, of Soldotna, Alaska was arrested. Ibsen was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. The marijuana seized has a street value of approximately $2,000. The Idaho State Police was assisted by the Power County Sheriff's Office. The investigation is ongoing.
