Idaho State Police are investigating a collision that occurred at 12:10 p.m at Killdeer and SH41 in Kootenai County.

The driver of a Mitsubishi SUV was travelling eastbound on Killdeer and suffered a medical emergency. The vehicle struck the back of a paving machine injuring a male subject on the back of the machine.

The SUV was occupied by a 27-year-old male driver, the injured subject was a 42-year-old male.. The 42-year-old male was taken to a nearby hospital by ground ambulance.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
