On Friday, July 18, 2014, at approximately 11:23PM, the Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle fatal crash in Jefferson County. Fernando Gonzales, 28 years old from Roberts, ID, was westbound, approximately 3 miles east of Roberts on State Highway 48 near 3035 East. Gonzales, riding a 2004 Honda motorcycle, failed to negotiate a slight left hand curve in the road. He ran off the road, lost control, and was ejected from the motorcycle. Gonzales was not wearing a helmet. The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police with assistance from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
