On May 28, 2015, at approximately 11:45 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle, motorcycle crash on Highway 55, near milepost 150, between New Meadows and McCall.

Steven Elias, 59, of Eagle, was driving north on Highway 55 on a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve. Elias slid off the road and struck the embankment.

Elias was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's in McCall. He was wearing a helmet. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
