On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at 7:49 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle crash on 600 N near 1700 E, east of Rupert. Patricia Ault, 29, of Rupert, was westbound on 600 East in a 2001 Subaru Forrester. The Subaru rolled off the right shoulder of the road, where it came to rest. Authorities believe the crash took place at approximately 2:00 a.m. The crash was not discovered for several hours.

Ault was transported to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello by air ambulance.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police. They were assisted at the scene by Cassia Sheriff Office, Cassia EMS, and East End Fire Department.
