To enhance and protect the live horse race industry in the state of Idaho through licensing, regulation, and supervision of all live and simulcast race meets in the state under the terms of the Horse Racing Act in Idaho Code 54-2507.
By the request of the State Racing Commission Stewards, effective immediately: “While the ISRC is conducting urine testing, the vet will also draw blood. If, after one hour and 30 minutes, your horse has not provided a urine sample to the vet staff, you will have hair pulled, and you must pay the supplemental licensing fee of $225. Payment to the ISRC must be made to the licensing office before leaving the racing association grounds. No matter what, two tests will be sent to the lab. If testing is refused, we will follow racing rules, and you may incur a fine.”
The Idaho State Racing Commission is a self-funded agency funded through licenses, pari-mutuel wagers, and simulcasting fees. All fees are used per Idaho Statute 54-2515.
