On Wednesday, March 30,2011, at approximately 8:16 a.m., a PHI Waste Systems truck driven by Jimmy K Willcoxon, was northbound on Ft. Hall Mine Road. Willcoxon's vehicle was on the railroad tracks just to the south of the intersection of US91 and Ft. Hall Mine Road when the crossing gates came down on his vehicle. Witnesses state that Willcoxon was attempting to lift the gate off of his truck when his vehicle was struck by a train. Willcoxon, age 40, from Rigby, Idaho, was thrown from the vehicle and died from injuries he sustained during the crash. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police and the Bannock County S.O.
