On Monday, March 17, 2014, at 12:40 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle crash on State Highway 50 at milepost 3.9, on the Hansen Bridge. James Wilson, 58 of Tacoma, Washington was traveling southbound on State Highway 50 across the Hansen Bridge, in a 2007 Peterbilt Semi truck. A severe gust of wind overturned the semi and it landed in the northbound lanes against the guard rail.

Wilson was transported to St. Lukes Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls by ground ambulance. Both lanes were blocked for approximately 3 hours while the semi was removed from the bridge.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
