On May 28, 2020, at approximately 10:52 a.m. a minor injury crash occurred eastbound on I90 at milepost 67, five miles east of Wallace, Idaho. A 2019 Freightliner semi-tractor pulling a trailer driven by Guy L. Lewellyn, 47, of Cheney, WA drove off the right shoulder and continued in the ditch for 348 feet. The semi re-entered the highway and tipped over blocking both eastbound lanes and spilling 40,000 lbs of apples. Lewelllyn was transported by ambulance to Shoshone Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Both eastbound lanes were blocked for approximately 1.5 hours. One eastbound lane is still blocked at this time for the cleanup process.
