On Monday, July 21, 2014, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle injury crash on Interstate 15, exit 67, in Pocatello.

Teddy Kiggins, 73, of Pocatello, was driving southbound on I15, and exited at S 5th Ave. Kiggins, driving a 1992 Peterbuilt dump truck, failed to stop at the end of the off ramp. Kiggins traveled through the intersection and impacted the lava rocks near the on ramp.

Kiggins was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center. The on and off ramps at exit 67 were blocked temporarily while emergency vehicles responded to the crash. Kiggins was wearing his seatbelt.

This crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
