Single Vehicle Fatality Crash in Teton County

TETONIA, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a single -vehicle rollover crash that occurred on March 17, 2026, at approximately 7:04 a.m.  A 35-year-old male, from Rexburg, was driving a 2003 Ford F150 pickup eastbound on State Highway 33. He struck a dead elk that was in the road.  The driver lost control of his vehicle and rolled off the right shoulder of the road.   The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries on scene.   

Idaho State Police was assisted by Teton County Sheriff and the Idaho Transportation Department.

This incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
