On Friday, March 18, 2011, at approximately 12:50 p.m. the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle injury crash that closed the southbound on ramp on I15 at milepost 119, in Idaho Falls, for several hours. Larry Dixon, 53, of Twin Falls, was driving southbound in a Freightliner semi pulling a trailer loaded with potatoes. Dixon was driving too fast to negotiate the exit when he rolled the semi. Dixon was transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where he will be held overnight for observation. Dixon was wearing a seatbelt.
This crash is under investigation by Trooper Sibus, who was assisted at the scene by Cpl. Murdock, Specialist Summers, Sgt. Hanson, and emergency response crews.
