Single Vehicle Injury Crash North of Cascade

CASCADE, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a single vehicle injury crash that occurred at 11:46 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, northbound SH55 at milepost 120, in Valley County.

A 28-year-old male from Meridian was driving a 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on SH55. The motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and struck a tree.

The driver was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital, and then later transported to another hospital by air ambulance.

The driver was not wearing a helmet.

The southbound lane was blocked for approximately four hours.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
