On July 8,2013, at aproximately 5:41 pm, Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle roll-over crash on Interstate 84 at milepost 224 in Cassia County.

Brian Pennington, 42, of Nampa, was driving west on Interstate 84 in a white 2000 Mercury Mountaineer with passengers Stephanie Pennington, 39, of Nampa, and their two minor children. The tread from one of the tires separated from the tire. The vehicle veered left. Pennington over-corrected and lost control of the vehicle. The driver and all passengers were transported by ground ambulance to the Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley, ID.

The right lane was blocked for approximately 2 hours.

It is unknown if seatbelts were worn. The creash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
