On Thursday, June 21, 2012, at 5:30 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a three vehicle crash on Interstate 84 at the Meridian exit. Charles Nielson, age 50 from Boise, was travelling east bound on interstate 84 near the Meridian exit when traffic began to slow down. Nielson, driving a Dodge truck, was unable to slow down hitting the rear of a Toyota Corolla driven by Nubia Anya, 37 from Middleton. That collision pushed Anya's Toyota into the vehicle in front of it, a Ford Contour, driven by Isabel Sandoval, 19 from Kuna.
Anaya and a passenger in her vehicle were transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries. All occupants were wearing seatbelts. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
