Three Vehicle Collision in Gooding County

GOODING COUNTY, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a three-vehicle fatality crash that occurred at approximately 5:45 pm on Tuesday December 23, 2025. This incident took place on SH46 at approximately milepost 107, between Gooding and Wendell.

A juvenile was driving northbound on SH46 in a gray 2011 Ford F150. The F150 crossed the center line, and side swiped a maroon 2016 Subaru Impreza, driven by a 28-year-old female from Hailey, Idaho. The F150 then collided head-on with a gray 2012 Volkswagen Passat that was driven by a 25-year-old female from Gooding with a juvenile passenger.

The juvenile driver was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision and was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital. The 28-year-old female was also wearing a seatbelt and was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The 25-year-old female was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The juvenile passenger in the Volkswagen was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital.

SH46 was completely blocked for approximately three hours as crews worked to assist those involved.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Gooding County Sheriff’s office, Life Flight, Gooding Fire, and Gooding ambulance.
