Three Vehicle Crash in Canyon County

CANYON County – Idaho State Police is investigating a three-vehicle crash that occurred on Friday, January 31,2025, at 9:38 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 84 at milepost 38, in Canyon County.

A 60-year-old male, from Simi Valley, CA was driving a 2017 Kenworth semi-truck when it struck the side of a 2018 Audi Q5 driven by a 57-year-old female, from Boise, ID. The Audi Q5 lost control, hit the median, and then was struck by a 2022 Cascadia semi-truck that was driven by a 53-year-old male, from Cadiz, KY.

All occupants in all vehicles were wearing their seat belts. Both occupants of the Audi Q5 were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.

The eastbound lanes were blocked for approximately four and a half hours to allow emergency personnel to assist those on scene.

This incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
