Three Vehicle Crash US95 south of Riggins

The Idaho State Police is investigating a three-vehicle collision that occurred January 11, 2026, at approximately 12:19 pm on US95 at milepost 185.4 in the northbound lane, south of Riggins, Idaho.

A 77-year-old-male, from Riggins, Idaho, was traveling northbound on US95 in a blue 2007 Cadillac DTS when he was coming to a stop in the roadway. A multi-vehicle rear end crash occurred involving a 39-year-old-female, from Meridian, Idaho, driving a white 2019 Jeep Compass and a 42-year-old-male, from Riggins, Idaho, driving a white 2008 Toyota Tundra.

Seatbelts were worn by the drivers of the Jeep and the Cadillac. The driver of the Toyota Tundra was not wearing his seatbelt. A passenger of the Jeep was transported by ground ambulance for injuries sustained in the crash. The roadway was blocked for approximately two hours.

The Idaho State Police was assisted by: Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, Riggin’s City Fire and Ambulance, and witness’s of the crash.
