Three-Vehicle Injury Crash in Payette County

PAYETTE COUNTY, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a three-vehicle injury crash that occurred at 3:27 p.m. on May 9, 2026, at milemarker 72 on US95, north of Payette City.

A 2016 Jeep Renegade, driven by a 44-year-old male from Caldwell, was driving northbound on US95 when he swerved into the southbound lanes. A 2000 Honda Accord, driven by an 18-year-old male from Weiser with a juvenile passenger, was traveling southbound on US95. A 2020 Honda Ridgeline, driven by a 49-year-old male from Boise, with two juvenile passengers, was traveling northbound on US95. The Honda Accord swerved into the northbound lanes to avoid colliding with the Jeep. The Honda Accord collided with the Honda Ridgeline head-on.

The occupant of the Jeep was not injured. The occupants of the Honda Accord were transported by air ambulance to a local hospital. The occupants of the Honda Ridgeline were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.

The northbound lanes were blocked for approximately one hour and 30 minutes.
