Traffic Crash Under Investigation on US-93 in Jerome County
JEROME, Idaho — The Idaho State Police is investigating a multi-vehicle crash that occurred just after 9 a.m. this morning at the intersection of Golf Course Road and U.S. Highway 93.
A black 2012 Ford Escape was making a left turn from northbound US-93 onto Golf Course Road when it was struck by a blue 2022 Ford Bronco driving southbound. The driver of one vehicle was transported by air ambulance to a regional medical facility, while the other driver was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. Medical conditions are currently unknown.
Part of the investigation will focus on determining the right-of-way at the time of the crash. ISP is also investigating whether impairment may have contributed to the crash.
US-93 is currently open to normal traffic but was operating at reduced capacity while emergency responders and investigators were on scene. Additional vehicles were involved in the crash.
The Idaho State Police is asking for the public’s help. Anyone who witnessed the crash or who observed the traffic signal lights at or near the time of the collision is asked to contact the ISP District 4 office at 208-324-6000.
The crash remains under investigation.
