Traffic stop in Power County leads to marijuana seizure and arrest

On Sunday, November 17, 2013, at approximately 11:13 am, Idaho State Police conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 86 near milepost 51, in Power County, Idaho. ISP was assisted by the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit. Pursuant to the traffic stop, 13.8 pounds of suspected marijuana was found and seized. The vehicle was traveling east on I-86 east of American Falls and was stopped for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as 25 year old male Jadd Shammas, from Mi Wuk Village, California and the passenger was identified as 24 year old male Jedediah Bright, from Grass Valley, California. Shammas and Bright were incarcerated in the Power County Jail where they are being charged with trafficking a controlled substance and felony possession of marijuana.
