Train and Dump Truck Collide near Parma
PARMA, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a serious injury crash involving a train and semi-dump truck that occurred on February 7, 2026 at approximately 9:30 A.M. between Apple Valley Rd. and Noye Ln. in Canyon County, Idaho.
A 2015 Peterbilt driven by a 52-year-old male from Nyssa, OR, was traveling northbound on Noye Ln. going over the railroad tracks. A Union Pacific locomotive was traveling southeast on the railroad tracks when it collided with the 2015 Peterbilt. Visibility was low, about 300 ft. due to dense fog in the area.
The driver of the Peterbilt was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital. No one from the locomotive was transported.
The railroad and roadway were blocked for six-and-a-half hours to allow emergency personnel to assist those involved and clear the scene.
This crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
