On March 26, 2014 at 4pm, Idaho State Police investigated two crashes on I15 between Clark Street and Pocatello Creek Road. Jennie Morrison age 18, of Downey, was traveling northbound when she drove off the left shoulder of the road. Morrison overcorrected, came back on to the road, crossed three lanes and crashed into a guardrail. Morrison told Police that she was "Fixing her sock" and looked away from the road. Morrison was taken by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center. The crash occurred during rush hour and two lanes of traffic were closed to allow the tow truck to remove the car from the guardrail.

A second crash occurred when Michael Hymas, age 54, of Chubbuck, failed to slow in heavy traffic. Hymas steered to avoid a rear end collision. lost control of his car, causing the car to overturn and sideswipe another vehicle driven by Leslie Orchard, age 47, of Pocatello. Neither driver were injured.
