Two Injured in Single Vehicle Rollover in Cassia County
OAKLEY, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred at 7:02 p.m., on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 2215 Birch Creek Road, south of Oakley.
A 2000 GMC Yukon, driven by a 21-year-old male from Mexico, with a 22-year-old male passenger from Oakley, Idaho, was southbound on Birch Creek Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle. He overcorrected and went off the roadway where the vehicle rolled multiple times.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt. The passenger was not wearing a seatbelt. Both occupants were transported by air ambulance to local hospitals.
Birch Creek Road was blocked for approximately four hours.
The initial investigation indicates alcohol may have been a factor.
Idaho State Police was assisted by Cassia County Sheriff’s Office, Oakley Fire Department and EMS, LifeFlight, and Classic Air.
This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
