On July 20, 2012 at approximately 1:00pm, Idaho State Police

investigated a two vehicle injury crash at the I-15/I-86 interchange. A

gray 2012 Chevy was north bound on I-15 and began to exit to go west on

I-86. The driver of the Chevy, Li Yan of China, stopped in the road and

was rear ended by a black 1994 Toyota. The occupants of the Chevy told

State Police that they were on their way to Yellowstone Park when they

realized they took the wrong exit.

The driver and passengers of the Chevy were not injured. The driver of

the Toyota, Cynthia Oswald of Chubbuck, was taken by ambulance to

Portneuf Medical Center for non- life threatening injuries.

The crash partially blocked the exit for approximately one hour.

Idaho State Police were assisted by Bannock County Search and Rescue,

ITD, Pocatello EMS and Chubbuck EMS.
