On Tuesday, October 15, 2013, the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash northbound US93, at milepost 70, just south of Shoshone. Carl J. Farley, 60, of Ontario, Oregon, was driving southbound on US93 in a 2013 Peterbilt semi pulling a trailer. Ramona J. Allen, 72, of Shoshone, was driving a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero, when she drifted over the center line. Farley noticed this and maneuvered his truck into the emergency lane in order to avoid colliding with Allen. Allen struck Farley's vehicle. Allen's vehicle spun around and came to rest in the middle of US93. Farley's vehicle came to rest off of the road. Allen was transported by ground ambulance.
Seatbelts were worn.
This crash is currently under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
