Two Vehicle Fatality Crash North of Snowville

ONEIDA COUNTY, ID – Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash which occurred on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 5:20 AM, on Interstate 84 at milepost 263, north of Snowville, Utah.


A 2002 Harley Davidson, driven by a 61-year-old male from St. Louis, Missouri, and a 2024 Freightliner tractor hauling cattle, driven by a 48-year-old male from Oakley, were both travelling eastbound on Interstate 84. The semi-truck collided with the rear of the motorcycle in the lane of travel. The motorcycle rider succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.


The motorcycle rider was wearing a helmet, and the semi driver was wearing a seatbelt.


All eastbound lanes were blocked for approximately 8 hours.


Idaho State Police was assisted by Snowville Ambulance, Malta Fire Department, Oneida County Coroner’s Office, Cassia County Sheriff’s Office and Idaho Transportation Department.
