Friday, October 18, at 3:31 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a
two-vehicle fatality crash on State Highway 19 at milepost 11, east of Wilder.

two-vehicle fatality crash on State Highway 19 at milepost 11, east of Wilder.
Amador
M. Cortinas, 23, of Homedale was traveling westbound on State Highway 19 in a
2005 Chevy Cobalt when he crossed the center line into the oncoming lane of
travel. Jacob C. Andersen, 23, of Caldwell was traveling eastbound in a 1994
Chevy Blazer when he was struck by Cortinas.

Cortinas
and his passenger Daniel J. Valadez, 24 of Homedale succumbed to their injuries
at the scene. Andersen was transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus
Regional Medical Center in Boise.
