**update** Road is back open

On November 9th, 2017 at approximately 10:12 AM a non-injury blocking crash occurred on US12 at milepost 22.9, east of Lewiston. A red 2007 Kenworth semi tractor with an empty log trailer driven by Jacob W. Baldwin, 45, of Kooskia, Idaho was traveling Eastbound when Mr. Baldwin became distracted, drove off the right shoulder, over corrected, and rolled the semi onto its side on US12. Mr. Baldwin was wearing his seatbelt. The highway was blocked for approximately 4 1/2 hours. The investigation is on-going.

Idaho State Police is responding to a blocking crash US12 near Milepost 23. The entire roadway is blocked. Please use alternate routes until further notice.
