The passengers in the PT Cruiser have been identified as Talia Rushing, age 22 and Layton Hallmark age 2. Rushing and Hallmark have not been located at this time and the recovery of the vehicle is still delayed due to the river conditions. The next of kin have been notified and the crash remains under investigation.

Hallmark was travelling eastbound on US Hwy 12 near milepost 97 when he fell asleep and went off the south edge of the highway. The vehicle became submerged in the river and Hallmark was transported to Syringa Hospital in Grangeville. There were two passengers in the vehicle but due to the river conditions the recovery of the vehicle has been delayed. Further information will be released at a later time as the investigation continues.
