UPDATE – Idaho State Police releases an image and video of vehicle involved in Hauser hit-and-run crash

HAUSER, Idaho – Idaho State Police (ISP) is releasing a still photo and video of a pickup and trailer involved in a hit-and-run injury crash on State Highway 53 at Prairie Avenue and continues to ask anyone who witnessed the crash or has information about the vehicle or driver to contact ISP.

The crash occurred Aug. 26, 2026, at approximately 3:16 p.m. and involved a gold Chevrolet Tahoe traveling eastbound on SH 53 and a silver pickup pulling a trailer that turned eastbound from SH 53 onto Prairie Avenue. The trailer was hauling a small excavator.

The pickup and trailer left the scene following the collision.

Photos and video of the pickup and trailer are included with this release to assist in identifying the vehicle and driver.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information that may assist investigators is asked to contact Sgt. Ron Sutton at 208-209-8620.

Idaho State Police seeking witnesses to hit-and-run crash on SH53 at Prairie Ave, Hauser, ID.

On August 26, 2026, at about 1516 hours, Idaho State Police responded to a two-vehicle injury crash on SH 53 at Prairie Avenue.

The crash involved a gold Chevrolet Tahoe that was eastbound on SH 53 and a silver pickup pulling a trailer that turned eastbound from SH 53 onto Prairie Avenue. The trailer was reported to be hauling a small excavator.

The pickup and trailer left the scene after the collision.
