ADA COUNTY, Idaho – The Idaho State Police is currently investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred on February 27th, 2026, at approximately 10:41 P.M. westbound Interstate 84 in Meridian, Idaho.
A white 2024 HINO Box Truck, driven by a 23-year-old male from West Valley, Utah, was traveling westbound when the driver failed to maintain lanes and struck the median concrete jersey barrier, causing the truck to overturn. All westbound lanes of travel were blocked. The driver was uninjured.
The passenger a 44-year-old male from Saint Louis, Missouri was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The passenger was not.
All westbound lanes are still closed at this time as crews work to get the roadway cleared of the vehicle and debris. Traffic is currently being diverted at the Ten Mile off ramp.
The Idaho State Police was assisted by the Meridian Police Department, Meridian Fire Department, Ada County EMS, Ada County Sheriff’s Office, Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, and Idaho Transportation Department.
This crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
