UPDATE: SINGLE VEHICLE FATALITY CRASH NEAR WENDELL

GOODING COUNTY, IDAHO – Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a single vehicle fatality crash which occurred at approximately 04:40 P.M. on Tuesday, September 2,2025 at 3084 S 1700 E, just south of Wendell, Idaho.

A 2000 Honda Accord, driven by a 22-year-old male of Wendell, ID was traveling northbound on S 1700 E Rd at a high-rate speed, when the Honda lost control and drove off the road striking a power pole. The driver of the Honda was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash.

All lanes on S 1700 E have been blocked for approximately 8 hours and will continue to be blocked while crews work to replace utilities in the area.

The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
