On October 20, 2013 at 6:35 pm, Idaho State Police investigated a vehicle fire at the rest area southbound I15 at milepost 101, north of Blackfoot.

Timothy Morrissey was driving a 2001 Volkswagon Passat. Morrissey was able to pull over and exit the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. There were no injuries and the onramp was blocked for approximately an hour as crews worked to clear the scene.

The incident is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
