Vehicle Fire Southbound I15 North of Fort Hall, Idaho

Fort Hall, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a vehicle fire southbound I15 at milepost 85, north of Fort Hall.

On February 23, 2025, at 5:58 P.M. Idaho State Police (ISP) responded to a vehicle fire southbound I15 at milepost 85, north of Fort Hall. A 21-year-old male of Idaho Falls, ID was traveling southbound on I15 in a 1997 Chevrolet GMT-400, when the vehicle caught fire. The driver of the Chevrolet was able to move safely off the road at milepost 85.

The driver was able to exit the vehicle before the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames and was uninjured. Driver was not transported.

The southbound right lane was blocked for approximately 2 hours.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Fort Hall Police Department and Fort Hall Fire department.

This incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
