Vehicle observed at excessive speed ends with DUI arrest

On October 18, 2010, at approximately 1:35 a.m., an Idaho State Police trooper observed a 1999 Oldsmobile 88 at a high rate of speed approaching the construction zone westbound on I84 near the Gowen interchange. The trooper checked the vehicle by radar going 110 mph in a 75 mph zone. The vehicle was pulled over at the Travel Center truck stop parking lot, off the Broadway exit. The driver, Thomas Lott, 44 years old, of Spokane, WA was taken into custody and charged with second offense DUI, obstructing an officer, and driving while suspended.
