Submitted – FY 2024 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) State Application and Required Documents

Idaho’s State FY 2024 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) application, FY 2024 – 2028 JAG Strategic Plan, and FY 2024 Death in Custody Reporting Act (DCRA) Implementation Plan Update are available for public view and comment until November 17, 2024. All are located on PGR’s Grant Opportunities and Programs webpage at https://isp.idaho.gov/pgr/grants.

As the governor appointed State Administering Agency (SAA), Idaho State Police/Pass-Through Grants and Research (PGR) submitted the state JAG application and required documents, including the strategic plan and DCRA updates to the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) on October 16, 2024. The strategic plan contains a summary and updates on Idaho’s needs identification and analysis, priorities and national strategies, coordination, and allocation report. The DCRA Update contains the background and procedures on PGR’s collection and reporting of deaths in custody throughout the state.
